On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed a stimulus bill (The
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) that made some
significant changes to the energy efficiency tax credits.

We're Not a 'One-Product Fits All' Company
We approach the house as a system with a tight thermal and pressure boundary being most important. Control of indoor humidity is critical as well as proper air changes for indoor air quality.

To accomplish this we use a variety of insulation and air sealing products as best fits the situation. We spray both low and high-density polyurethane foams by Demilec. We have a non-expanding, fireproof cementitious foam insulation called Air Krete. We also use stabilized cellulose for walls, ceililngs and fire protection as well as traditional blown-in cellulose - primarily for attics but also dense packed into wall cavities. We install fiberglass but it's not a preferred product. We can explain why and the different product usage when discussing your project.

Our newest services provide qualified energy audits and Home Energy Ratings for new construction. An energy audit analyzes your home to see just how well it's conserving energy and gives you feedback on where improvement dollars will best be spent. HERS ratings help builders obtain a $2,000 federal tax credit and qualify homes as ENERGY STAR rated. There are mortgage benefits for buyers with HERS ratings as well.
